A PLACE SOMEONE CALLS HOME – PASTEL PAINTING

P1140396(1)

High up on the Peruvian Altiplano small communities exist on the treeless plains beneath  towering blue mountains where mild exertion leaves the coast dweller breathless.

    • Thanks Cynthia. Not sure what you mean by dry or soft. They are chalk pastels, mainly soft, although I have a few harder contes mixed in my collection. Some of the application is scraping the pastels onto the paper and mixing and blending the resultant powder with my fingers. I don’t use water with my pastels, but it is something I keep meaning to try. Hope there’s an answer there somewhere.
