THE MORNING AFTER ON MATHEW STREET – WATERCOLOUR PAINTING

P1200021(1)a

I was walking down Mathew Street in Liverpool the day after St Patrick’s day. A feeling of  quiet reflection in the air. I liked the breaks of light and dark down the street where the Cavern Club, a place  the Beatles used to play, was ( there still is a Cavern Club on the site of the old one)

  1. Thanks Eduardo. The figures come from various sources, including some on the day. I do a lot of figurative life drawing and it really helps in scenes like these. If you’re not doing it already I’d recommend finding a group.

  2. It’s a beautiful painting. You tried your best capture a story within the city in a small frame. It’s almost as if you took a photo of what’s going over there’s. That’s how precise the details. Good job. It’s a beautiful work of art.
