DEEPER INTO THE WOODS – WATERCOLOUR PAINTING

Following on with my woodland series and again featuring the golden birches amid the conifers. I dont think the yellows and oranges work too well against the dull greens so some of the punch is lost. Perhaps I should have reserved more white. Anyway, you can but try.

  1. Hi Graham…Always a work in progress, but I like the dark tree shadows in the foreground. Also, I like how you have the path ending and then continuing, as a viewer I’m wondering what’s hidden beyond my view.

    • Thanks Sharon. The path dips down sharply and you can really let rip on your bike and hope no-one is coming in the opposite direction.
      It does, though, give a interesting break to the image continuing the diagonal from the right. Certainly work in progress.
